October 2025 - Kings Canyon National Park
When you’re flanked by Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks it’s hard to be seen, but maybe that’s a good thing?
Kings Canyon National Park is located about 2.5 hours southeast of Yosemite National Park, adjacent to Sequoia National Park in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It's best known for its towering sequoia trees, including the famous General Grant Tree in Grant Grove. To the east, Cedar Grove lies beneath steep granite canyon walls and serves as a gateway to scenic trails leading to Zumwalt Meadow along the Kings River and to the dramatic Roaring River Falls. The park is also home to diverse wildlife, including rattlesnakes, bears, and cougars.
Our favorite part is by far the endless miles of pristine backpacking wilderness. It’s no wonder the Pacific Coast Trail and John Muir Trail cut through the park.
Later this month, on October 31st, The Things of Youth will drop a new single called “Pixel Face”.
As with all of our releases, a portion of every sale will be donated to park-supporting organizations like the National Park Foundation and the National Parks Conservation Association. These groups work tirelessly to protect and advocate for our treasured public lands. Now more than ever, our national parks need our support.
