Carcrashlander is led by Cory Gray, who has played trumpet or piano on almost every album (that matters) recorded in Portland —Decemberists, Norfolk and Western, Darren Hanlon, Graves, The Dodos, etc.

Carcrashlander explores a lot of styles post Cory’s Desert City Soundtrack days, but stays rooted in indie rock with great lyrics.

These days you can find Cory playing in the experimental instrumental project, Old Unconscious, and contributing horns/keys to the country soul band, The Delines.
